We aspire to restore order, beauty and flourishing to the lives of our clients through home design. Design is always about people and a well-designed space should encourage thriving and community. We serve our clients and partners with true professionalism, an "others first" philosophy and beautiful designs with a modern vibe. Our goal is to help bring restoration to those we serve, and also to our community and around the globe. We are so grateful to many who invested and believed in our success before we did. Several of our spec home and DC historic home projects reflect the beautiful staging of Boxwood Home Staging and Tyler Whitmore Interiors.
We are happy to offer a wide range of services, from custom design-build home projects to remodeling and anything inbetween. We love to work with clients and their architects in the initial design phase and see the project through to completion, overseeing all the details and selections unique to each home. We offer e-design service, providing a design plan and list of materials for client's execution, and full service interior design coordinated and installed by Wellhouse & Co. If you are building or renovating to accommodate an elderly parent or a special needs individual, we would especially love to be involved with your project.
Designer and Owner// A native of Northern Virginia, Kim has been immersed in custom home design and real estate most of her life, watching her parents build several custom homes and grow a real estate development business . After graduating with an accounting degree from James Madison University and working as a CPA in public accounting for eight years, she spent many wonderful years raising her four children, organizing summer camps for neighborhood kids and helping friends with home design projects. In 2018, she received a job offer from a good friend to design high end spec homes in Northern Virgina and DC.
After a few seconds of considering the dream job offer, she happily accepted and Wellhouse & Co became a reality. She loves architecture, the challenge of re-designing a space to better both functionality and beauty, and most of all, her clients and those she partners with to make each home a successful project. She lives on 25 acres in Centreville, Virginia with her husband Jay, their four childern and their dog Hunter. She most enjoys her family, coffee, yoga, spending time outdoors and hosting all kinds of gatherings.
Lead Designer// Jarrett and Kim were partners in many endeavors prior her joining Wellhouse & Co in 2019. Living across the street from each other for ten years, they built community, organized summer camps and went on long runs to discuss current challenges and future dreams. Jarrett graduated from Virginia Tech with a double major in finance and management and spent five years working for Ralph Lauren in NYC. After relocating to Northern Virginia, raising four children and completing her first half-marathon, she readily accepted the new challenge of a design career. An artist and fashionista at heart, Jarrett lends her talents to design renderings and the selection process, with no detail overlooked. She is our resident kitchen and bath expert! Jarrett lives in Clifton, Virginia with her husband Brian, their four children and her dog Sampson. She loves coffee, good books, new adventures and can often be found listening to a podcast somewhere.
Designer// Sarah joined us with a wealth of both entrepreneurial and corporate experience. Also a graduate of Virginia Tech (yes, we do have a Dukes v. Hokies rivalry at Wellhouse & Co) with a degree in Finance, Sarah spent many years working in corporate finance, marketing and branding. She has launched several entrepreneurial ventures with her husband Shawn, most recently renovating and opening an oceanside Airbnb, which peaked her interest in all things design and renovation. We convinced her to join our team and are thankful for her vision, her willingness to tackle even the most challenging tasks and her incredible dedication to client service. She has five kids which keep her fairly busy and she is active in her community, including a co-founded non-profit called Countdown to None which raises awareness and funds for Type One Diabetes. When she does have a few free minutes, she can be found preferably on the beach or walking her dogs. Her philosophy: overall curiosity leads to life long learning, particularly in regards to health and longevity.
